On Holy Week
As we enter the final days of Lent we have several special services to help us understand the gift we have been given by God. Tonight we'll gather at Hancock for a meal at 6:00 p.m., which will include the sacrament of Holy Communion. At the conclusion of the meal, we have the opportunity to worship in the sanctuary using the Tenebrae service.
Tomorrow, Good Friday, at 7:00 p.m., we'll relive the final hours with our dramatic presentation of the passion and death of Jesus and symbolically see the rise of evil. The message will focus on the guards who divided Jesus' clothing among themselves. The question to be answered is "What's in it for me?"
Sunday morning at 6:15 a.m. we'll reverse the process in an instant as we hear the good news of Jesus' Resurrection.
Finally, our Easter celebration services with special music will begin at our normal times of 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. The message, titled "Bewildered and Confused," will focus on the natural confusion that occurs when what we see and experience seems to be impossible.
See you at the services.
Grace & Peace,
