Learn

"The first priority of my life is to be holy, and the second goal of my life is to be a scholar."

- John Wesley

For John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, there was no such thing as solitary "religion" and Covenant Church strives to live that out. We gather together in worship and in Christian learning so that we can help one another grow in the love of God and others.
We strive to offer opportunities for growth to people of all ages.

Children and Youth

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."

- 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Covenant Nursery School

Our school is a Christian Nursery School, a ministry of Covenant United Methodist Church. We welcome children of all faiths and encourage a sharing of different beliefs. Through our daily interactions with the children we strive to exemplify the Christian virtues of kindness, acceptance, and love towards one another.

Sunday School

Sundays 9:15 am - 10:00 am
Labor Day through Memorial Day

We are very excited about all the opportunities we have to worship, learn, and serve at Covenant; and we want you and your young people to be a part of it. We know everyone is a one-of-a-kind beloved child of God, and we all need to experience God's love in different ways.

Vacation Bible School

VBS provides an opportunity to teach children about Jesus so that they can learn ways to be like Christ. VBS is held each summer in coordination with Shorter AMEC in Morton. Participants activities include arts & crafts, music, Bible stories, and games. Food will be served.

The true aim of everyone who aspires to be a teacher should be,
not to impart his own opinions, but to kindle minds.

Adult Education

It is not the number of books you read, nor the variety of sermons you hear, nor the amount of religious conversation in which you mix, but it is the frequency and earnestness with which you meditate on these things till the truth in them becomes your own and part of your being, that ensures your growth.

Adult Sunday School

Christian education is essential for believers - no matter what age - to grow in knowledge and love of God. The Adult Education program provides opportunities for adults to deepen their Christian faith by learning who you are and whose you are. Please come, learn, and grow!

Sunday School is held each Sunday from 9:15 to 10:15 am.

Small Groups

For introverts and extroverts and everyone in between, the place where personal growth occurs is in small groups, where you can develop trusting relationships that allow you to be open and vulnerable. These small groups might be centered around Bible study, or book discussions, or other common interests or hobbies. In all these, we make the Holy Spirit a partner in the conversation so we might grow together.
