The early Church father Tertullian once said, "Christians are made, not born." Confirmation is a historic means by which young people experience Christian formation, leading them to become disciples of Christ. The Confirmation program at Covenant is designed for middle school students, usually 7th or 8th graders. It begins in October and goes through May. Our program is designed to educate and nurture these young people as they discover their faith and grow into disciples of Jesus.
The Confirmation process which Covenant uses provides a solid biblical and theological foundation. Each confirmand is assigned a mentor who studies the book of Luke with them, using a 13-session program. The two meet regularly to discuss the lessons. In addition to providing spiritual nurturing, the mentors frequently join us on our outings.
