Grab, Gather, Grow - Living the Five

posted:
December 26, 2017

In January and February of 2018, Covenant Church and some of our sister United Methodist Churches in the area will be offering a five-week sermon series kicking off a new opportunity for small groups known as “Grab, Gather, Grow.” The sermons and small groups will be based on the book, Living the Five, by Jim and Jennifer Cowert and will focus on five basic principles for living out the Great Commission and the Great Commandments. The topics are:

1. You Can’t Do Life Alone
2. Growing People Change
3. Saved People Serve People
4. Found People Find People
5. Worship is a Lifestyle

Everyone is invited to form a small group of their own. Invite friends, family, neighbors, co-workers or anyone else. The group members don’t need to be affiliated with Covenant or any other church, they just need to be willing to listen, discuss and risk growing in faith!

If you are willing to invite a group, we will provide a book and DVD as well as a bit of coaching, if you need it, so you can easily guide the discussion. It’s a simple process:

  1. Grab the material
  2. Gather the group
  3. Grow spiritually through your interactions.

All you need to do is provide space and maybe a simple snack, and you and your invitees will have the opportunity to grow in faith. The setting can be your home or at work, you can even reserve a room at the church. All you really need is a place to watch a DVD. Who will you invite to your small group?

The participating churches include C.C. Hancock, Clifton Heights, Drexel Hill, St. Mark’s (Broomall), and Covenant.
