Faith – A Living, Daring Confidence in God’s Grace: A Study of the Book of Romans

posted:
December 26, 2017

John Wesley had a powerful spiritual experience at a meeting on Aldersgate Street in London on May 24, 1738. He described the experience as having his "heart strangely warmed." Wesley's encounter with Jesus Christ on that evening was intense and personal. This experience happened during the reading of Martin Luther’s Preface to the Book of Romans. Luther began his preface by calling Romans, “the very purest Gospel…. the daily bread of the soul.” Beginning January 7, the Adult Short Course will consider the significance of this letter to the Early Church, to the Reformers and to our own faith journeys during times of uncertainty. Join us in Kingswood Room 2-3, Sundays from 9:15-10:15 a.m.
