Souper Bowl Results - And A Request

February 12, 2012

The Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive Team is very grateful to report that your generosity has resulted in record-high donations in 2012.  2218 food items and $1222 in cash were donated at Covenant this year.  This total of 3440 is a 33% increase from last year and is an all-time record high for Covenant Church.  Thank You!!!

Souper Bowl of CaringThe total Springfield Community-Wide Food Drive also set records in 2012.  The grand total of 34,128 food items and dollars was 47% higher than last year and makes the Springfield Food Drive the 9th largest project in America for the nationwide Souper Bowl of Caring organization.  New members of our community-wide team this year included Riddle Village, Lynnewood Elementary School in Havertown,  Springfield High School and Scenic Hills Elementary School in Springfield, and the communities of Rutledge and Westbrook Park.  We hope to add even more new members next year as we work to continue our commitment to growing this much-needed ministry.

We do have one request- if any of you helped grow the Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive this year by organizing a Food Drive where you live or work- we would like to hear your story so that we can learn how you did it.  Please call either Dave Liscom or Don Cadge and tell us all about it.  Check with the church office to contact them.  Thank You!!
